Updated daily with coronavirus tracking data provided by John Hopkins CSSE. Data for other causes of death are from the World Heath Organization, and based on recorded mortality in 2016.

The above visualization should not be used to judge whether coronavirus is more or less serious than other causes of death, but simply to get a sense for how many people have died in total compared to how many people die from other common threats each year.
